Too Much Caffeine

Hello lovelies!

I hope you are having a fantastic Wednesday! Tomorrow is my Friday and I'll be headed to Dallas-- so I thought I would write a quick blog post before the weekend begins. :) (Warning: Expect a monstrous blog post when I get back!)

I have been working 10 hour days this week and have really enjoyed it so far! Don't get me wrong, they are SUPER long days but knowing that I get a three day weekend has definitely kept me in good spirits.

Y'ALL! Does anyone else have a really bad caffeine addiction? I'm not kidding-- I have been drinking way too much caffeine here lately. Coffee, tea, diet cherry coke, and now THESE:

The last two weeks, I haven't been watching my macros as closely either. Don't get me wrong, I haven't gone off the deep end or anything like that-- I just haven't been as strict as I should. Ha! After I get back from Dallas this weekend, I plan on re-focusing on this cut and crushing it! (I gotta get ready for vacation, folks!!)

Speaking of vacation: I need help! Do I want to go to Florida orrrrrr do I want to try something different this year? I've been looking at Myrtle Beach, SC but I am NOT a good vacation planner and I'm afraid I won't know what to see/do-- leading to us HATING the entire trip! Ha! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! <3

I think that's all for now! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Love always,
Charity

Weekend Vibes

Hello lovelies!

I hope you all have had a great weekend! Mine felt super short but it was a good one overall! :) Yesterday, I slept in until around 8:30ish and it felt absolutely amazing! Once I finally got myself moving, I headed to my bestie's house for a few hours. They were having a "Lord of the Rings" movie marathon. Although, I'm not really in to those types of movies, I always try to participate-- even if it's just for a few hours! ;)

After I left their house, I went to my nail appointment...

UPDATE ON THE DIP POWDER POLISH: It has definitely grown on me! I don't think I will ever go back to shellac polish. It makes my nails SO unhealthy and I can see a huge difference when I use the dip powder instead. If you live in Fort Smith and you want to try it, go check out 'Nail Design' on US-71 and give it a shot! (I believe they are the only place in town offering the dip powder option.)
(Not a huge fan of this color... but I'm still in the process of finding that "perfect" shade! Ha!)

After my nail appointment, I came home and took a quick shower before heading over to my brother and sister-n-law's house for a family cook out. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and they were oh-so tasty! While I was there, I got sucked in to watching a couple movies on 'Lifetime.' Who knew that channel could be so addicting? *SMH*
(I wore my new tennies last night... So comfortable! I want to get them in solid white and rose gold now! Ahhh!)

This morning, we woke up and headed to church. We hadn't even been there for 10 minutes and Tyler and I both get a phone call from our alarm company. Apparently our alarm system decided to go CRAY-- therefore, sending the police out to our house and having us leave church to come home and make sure everything was okay! HAPPY SUNDAY, am I right? ;)

After that whole fiasco, we decided to go ahead and hit the gym for a quick workout! I worked legs and it wound up being a really good workout!
(You gotta do a cute, girly selfie before you start the heavy lifting right? Ha!)
(So, this picture makes me laugh... I got up to 140 lbs. on my deadlift today but I didn't realize I have chipmunk cheeks when I do these! ;) Either way, I was proud of myself!)

After our workout, we went and ate at Beef O Brady's. I was craving a burger so bad... so that's exactly what I got!
(Best burger everrrrr.)

When we got done eating, we decided to drive the car around with the top down for a little bit since the weather was so beautiful. I think we drove for almost 2 hours straight-- there's nothing better than warm weather and the wind blowing through your hair! <3

Now, I just got out of the shower and I'm washing a load of clothes. I'm working four 10 hour days this week. It should be interesting... but I think I will wind up liking it in the end. I'm also leaving for Dallas this Thursday with some of my friends for a belated birthday trip! I'm super excited-- we are going to be seeing Panic! at the Disco. Ahh!

Anyhoo, here's to the week ahead! Go out and crush it! <3

Love always,
Charity

(This song has played on my Pandora station a few times now and I really love it. I don't think this guy is popular--or if he is, I'm unaware. Anyways, I love checking out new artists and I think he's going to make it big one day!)

(Annnnd how about a little John Mayer as well? I am loving this song on his new album! It's such a cool groove! <3)

FRI-NALLY

Hello lovelies!

I hope you all are having a fantastic Friday thus far! I just wanted to hop on here and put out a quick blog post before the weekend begins. :)

Today was a good day at work-- slow, but good. However, I am feeling extremely tired! It was the weirdest thing last night-- I went to bed a little after midnight, and when I woke up this morning, I thought to myself: "Did I ever ACTUALLY go to sleep last night?" I had gone to bed with a lot on my mind and when my alarm went off this morning, my eyes came right open (like I hadn't been sleeping at all) and I was still thinking about those same things. I'm probably not making any sense-- I even tried explaining the feeling to my friend today at work but couldn't quite express what I was trying to explain. (I'm obviously going crazy! Ha!)

Anyways, after work-- Tyler and I went and grabbed a bite to eat and then some ice cream from Baskin-Robbins! I am absolutely loving the snickers ice cream:

Now, I am sitting here watching some basketball as it is storming like crazy outside. I am currently in first place with my bracket at work-- but I think I'm about to lose my good luck streak! (It was fun while it lasted...) I don't plan on doing much of anything else tonight except RELAX. ;)

I'm going to leave you with some music... Does that surprise you? Haha! Get used to it people-- I like my music! #noshame

Have a great weekend!

Love always,
Charity

(So, I've never really been a fan of Dierks Bentley but his latest album is totally different from his other stuff-- and I'm loving it! I'm kinda late to the "Black" train, but better late than never right?)

(Staying with the Dierks theme, this is actually the song that made me listen to his new album in the first place. As you know from my previous posts, I absolutely love Maren Morris and when I saw he had a duet with her, I became curious and had to check it out!)

(Last but not least... it's an oldie but a goodie! This came on my Pandora station while I was working out the other day and it reminded me how much I really love Jason Aldean! So good!)

Losing My Patience

Hello lovelies!

Just a heads up: I'm really going to try and be positive throughout this entire post... But I don't really know what's going to wind up on this blog entry. I'm just going to type and put my thoughts out there... & if I seem a little off, it's because I am. We're going to push through though! WOO. Here we go...

My first thought: Do you ever get the feeling you're being used? You're being manipulated? Do you find yourself making excuses for people because you WANT to see the good in them? Some days, you even forget that you feel this way at all. Everything is good. Grand. PERFECT. And then it happens again. You tell yourself to walk away, be strong-- but you somehow get sucked back in every. single. time. Get it together, girl!

My second thought: I don't get women-- plain and simple as that. Myself included! Why do we tear each other down so often? Why do we think that we have to outdo each other in every aspect of our lives? Who has the biggest diamond ring? The latest technology? The newest clothing? The most expensive "THINGS"? Listen-- anyone who knows me at all, knows I LOVE me some designer handbags. And I do have a few but that doesn't DEFINE me. I don't buy them because I want to make everyone else around me feel like they aren't good enough. I wish we could all just "empower" each other and we didn't make everything in to some sort of competition. There will ALWAYS be someone that is better looking than you, has more money than you, a better career than you-- WHO CARES? Be happy with what you have. There are thousands of people who would kill to be in your shoes--designer or not! ;)

My last thought of the night: People pleasers--I know I can be a people pleaser to an extent. I want everyone to like to me and I do care what people think more often than I should sometimes. (Although here lately, I can honestly say that has improved tremendously! You don't even know...) However, I am SO tired of hearing that as an excuse. Myself included...(Again!) "I'm a pushover.. I just can't say no." NO! If you don't want to do something, don't do it. If you don't want to go somewhere, DON'T go. It's simple! Learn to say NO. I'll leave it at that...

*Deep Breath*

Hmm.. Was all of that too harsh? Haha! Maybe so... but it's off my chest now and I feel better! Honestly, today has been one of those days where all I do is think. I tend to do that more than I should... My mind overtakes everything and before I know it, I'm thinking about every single thing going on in my life (plus more) at once.

Although this blog post may make me seem like I'm upset or annoyed, I'm really not. After work, I went and had an intense workout at the gym. It felt good to lift some heavy weights and sweat it all out. Afterwards, I went and ate at one of my favorite Greek restaurants. Super yummy! <3
Now, I am sitting here kind of tired, but awake at the same time. I didn't sleep well (or at all really) last night, so I'm going to try and get to bed at a decent time.

I hope you all have a fantastic day tomorrow!

Love always,
Charity
XOXO

"What you allow is what will continue."

I have been loving Shawn Mendes' album. His music reminds me A LOT of John Mayer. (And if you know me at all, you know I love me some John! This also means all the songs aren't going to be super happy, but I'm making an exception for today! Ha!) I've been listening to this album a lot this week so I'm going to share some of my favorite songs below! :)

Sunday Funday

Hello lovelies!

Two blog posts in two days? Whaaaat!?

I just wanted to hop on here and put some positivity out there in the universe! Today has been so great. THIS WEATHER Y'ALL!

I woke up this morning and went for a quick workout with the hubs. After that, we had lunch at our favorite spot, River City Deli. (We tend to go there most Sundays!) I got the "Boo Hoagie" sandwich with potato latkes. Yum!

After lunch, we had planned to go grocery shopping but the weather was just SO beautiful-- and our little sports car was just begging to be driven with the top down! Hehe!

I can't explain how much fun this little car has been the past few months! Any day that it's been nice, we have taken full advantage-- I have a feeling this summer is going to be a blast! <3  Anyways, we drove around for almost 2 hours today, cruising the back roads of all the little surrounding towns. We had the music blaring and the wind was blowing through our hair. I know I've already said it but I'll say it again, the weather was just BEA-utiful. (Side note: I do officially have a SUN BURN... but hey, I'm not letting that get me down! Ha!)

We finally made it to Walmart and got our grocery shopping done for the week! I've been LOVING these turkey pepperoni wraps with cheese (and I'm going to add turkey bacon this week) for my lunches! I also might have picked up some cinnamon rolls to make later this evening... *cheeky grin*

Now, I am home... Just got out of the shower after working in the yard for a bit and now it's time to relax for the rest of the day! I got my Blink 182 concert tickets in the mail and now I need to find an outfit for that concert. I also have a Panic! at the Disco AND John Mayer concert coming up in the next few weeks as well. (Am I the only one who buys a new outfit for concerts? Ha.. I'm such a nerd!)

I hope you all have a fantastic day and here's to a GREAT week ahead! YAS! WOO! ;)

Love always,
Charity

Hello Sunshine

Happy Saturday lovelies!

Let's not waste any time and jump in to this blog post...

Wednesday through Friday was mostly filled with going to work and gym time! (Insert gym selfie for proof! Ha!)

Thursday night I did go to the movies with some friends to watch the premier of 'Beauty and the Beast'. It was good-- not what I expected, but still a fun watch!

Last night, I went to dinner with some friends for St. Patricks Day and then they came to the house and we watched 'West Side Story'. I had never seen it before so it was a must! ;) It was good.. but geez, such a sad ending. (I hate sad endings...)

I didn't get to sleep until almost 3:00 AM and had to be up by 8:00 this morning. My sister and brother-n-law came in to town for a basketball tournament and his first game started at 9:00. I somehow pulled myself out of bed and put myself together. Before heading to the game, I picked up my sissy and I some iced coffee from Starbucks! #bestsisteraward

(I've missed her so much!!!)

My brother-n-law's team wound up losing both of their games so we left the tournament around 12:30. We went and ate mexican food and began to plan out the rest of our day. It was such a beautiful day outside that we decided to spend as much time outdoors as possible. We got changed in to comfy clothes and headed to Greenwood. We knew we wanted to get some ice cream at Baskin-Robbins but we decided to walk a little trail that we found first. I absolutely love the sunshine and would be perfectly fine if the weather was like this all year long. :)  (Oh! And Tyler and I have totally had the top down on the car all day... So fun!)

(Glad my brother-n-law has long arms! Hehe)

Now, I'm home, cleaned up and watching 'Young & Hungry'. (And blogging, of course!) I am so extremely tired but I refuse to fall asleep this early. Ha!

Random thought of the day: I *really* want to try hot yoga or kick boxing! If anyone knows a good spot to try either, hittttt me up! ;)

Oh! One more piece of randomness before I sign off for the night... Look at my new adorable sneakers! I love them oh-so much and can't wait to style them! <3
(You can buy them here!)

Well, that's all for now my loves... I hope you all have a fantastic day! I'm going to leave a couple of songs I've been loving lately below. :)

Love always,
Charity
XOXO

(I fell in love with this song when he performed it at the Grammy's this year. I'll leave the link to that performance here as well. You might as well check that one out first honestly. Ha! He is a must see concert for me one day! https://youtu.be/CDq15rSoOPc

(So yeah, I am absolutely IN LOVE with Maren Morris' album! I have literally listened to it over 50 times in the last month. I think I'm going to start sharing all of my favorite songs from the album one at a time in each blog post. For real y'all.. Check. It. Out.)

(Last but not least, I have tried not to like this song! Haha I can't help it. So I'm just giving in and sharing it with you all. Every time it comes on the radio, I just can't help but sing along! Sorry I'm having to post the link, it wouldn't let me find it through blogger. Laaaaame.)

Singin' In The... Gym?

Hello lovelies! :)

I hope you all are having a fantastic Tuesday! My Tuesday has been really great and I'm excited to get a new blog post up. Let's get started with all the randomness!

Like I mentioned in my last post, Saturday night we had plans to go eat dinner with Tyler's family. It was DE-lish, but I did sneak in a snack earlier that day because I hadn't eaten much. Something about Chick-fil-a, it just hits the spot when you're starving but you don't want to stuff yourself. (And it's totally macro friendly!) I got a 8 piece nugget and of course-- my diet lemonade! SO good.
(Oh! And I totally went through the Chick-fil-a drive thru in my leopard PJ's. Don't judge..Ha!)

Sunday morning, we woke up and went to church. I got out of bed kind of late (oops) so I went with my "go-to" church outfit-- a simple striped Old Navy dress and my favorite hat from Target.
(You can buy this exact hat, here. It's so freaking cute right?)
(A quick look of the entire outfit)

Anyways, after church we decided to go and have brunch at one of our favorite spots-- River City Deli. I love getting their french toast.. it's so tasty! <3

A few hours after brunch, I got in a quick back workout. Sunday's are always the hardest day for me to get to the gym. It's like my body just wants to be L-A-Z-Y the entire day. But I pushed myself to get up and get moving. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day! It was worth it!

Yesterday was work, work, work. I can tell summer is about to hit U-Pack. It seems to be getting busier and busier as each week goes by! Lawd, help us all! Ha! Mondays and Fridays are my "rest" days from the gym so I came home last night and CHILLED. I made eggs and turkey bacon for dinner and watched one of the shows on Netflix that I've been loving lately. It's called "Young & Hungry" and I find it to be hilarious. (Maybe because the main character reminds me a lot of myself and I can't help but laugh at some of the things she says and does.) For real though, give it a try if you're looking for a good "sit back and laugh" kind of show! ;)

Today was another day of work. It went really good but I'm glad it's over. Today was leg day at the gym and oh my, it was a tough one! I always start leg day with deadlifts. They are one of the best overall workouts that you can do. I only got up to 110 lbs. today because I'm still trying to perfect my form. I have a feeling I'll hit a new max in the next couple of weeks! Woo!

Side note: I've realized I'm that annoying "gym singer". Some people grunt, others pep talk themselves... I sing. Haha! I'm definitely that person that you hear going from a country tune...to some R&B, a little hip hop and then back to country. SORRY gym buddies! ;)

Right now, I have some yummy sweet potato fries cooking in the oven. They are smelling SO good and I can't wait to devour them! I think I'll watch a few more episodes of my show and then turn in for the night. I hope you all have a fantastic evening!
(Here's the brand of sweet potato fries that I'm making. They are from Whole Foods!)

Friends, Food, Fitness & Chai!

Happppppy Saturday lovelies!

It is a dreary and chilly morning in the good ol' Fort Smith today! I'm bundled up in my fuzzy blanket, a yummy candle is lit, and I'm wearing my adorable leopard PJ's. It's not even noon yet and I feel like I have already accomplished so much today. However, we'll come back to today in a bit-- but first, let's do a little recap of the week shall we? ;)

Work has been really great this week! Like I've said before, working with awesome people every day really helps me not dread the week. So thankful for that! I am absolutely loving my new hours that I am working. It has REALLY helped me stay motivated with my daily workouts as well. As soon as I get off work, I head straight to the gym. I get there by 4:30 and I am usually done by 5:45. (When the massive crowds are starting to pour in.) I've really been thinking about trying morning workouts again too, but oh my-- That really takes some discipline! Ha! We shall see!
(This was bicep day.. It was a killer!)

I've really been focusing on my weight lifting form this week. I want to make sure my form is perfect before getting in to heavier weights. I've also been focusing on doing more cardio. I. HATE. CARDIO. Let me just tell you, I will not sit here and try to make cardio out to be something enjoyable. I dread each and every time I step on that stair master-- However, I know it's good for me so I'm making a point to do it at least twice a week.
(Insert snapchat picture of sweaty Charity after one of those dreaded cardio sessions..Ha!)

Moving on... One night this week I was REALLY craving pasta. Some people seem to think you can't have carbs when you're trying to lose weight. This is totally untrue. When I lost my first 30 pounds, I was eating pasta at least twice a week-- and in big portions! I whipped up some spaghetti and enjoyed every single bite. Another myth to weight loss is that you can only eat "clean foods". Although I do agree that eating nutritional food is better for you-- Girl, eat those sour patch kids if you want them! It's not going to kill you. I promise! (And that's exactly what I did this week..Heh!)
(I thought I would share my favorite kind of pasta sauce when I'm cutting. It's super delicious! Also, for those of you wondering, I ate 4 oz. of spaghetti that night. That little scale in the background is my best friend!)

After work yesterday, I decided it was past time to get my nails painted. I go to the same little place every few weeks and have them done. They aren't the most friendly people, but they're cheap! Ha! I've been trying out this new "dip powder" polish. I'm still not sure if I'm a fan or not. I'll keep you updated on it! ;) Following my nail appointment, I went and picked up my friend Jennifer and headed to meet my family for dinner. We ate at Whole Hog and it was delicious! Once dinner was over, Jennifer and I ran around town to find some gifts for my friends baby shower that I was going to today. (Nothing like waiting till the last minute Charity! *eye roll*) I think Jennifer and I had way too much fun picking out baby clothes-- we had a dinosaur theme going on with each piece we picked out!

That brings me to today! I woke up pretty early because the baby shower was at 10AM. On my way there, I decided to pick up a spiced chai from Sweet Bay. Not only was it delicious, but the super sweet person in front of me in the drive thru PAID for it. Thank you to whoever it was! It made my morning! <3

The shower turned out really good. Kevin and Brittany got a lot of super cute things for their baby boy that's due in April. It was also nice getting to visit with my friend Kevin-- we don't get to see each other as much anymore since we work in different buildings-- but it's like we've never missed a beat when we do hang out. That's how you know true friendship right there! :) Speaking of Kevin, here's a funny/embarrassing story: As I was sitting there talking to him today, his mom (who I have never met) comes up to me and points her finger-- "You there!" She goes on to tell me that she saw me at Whole Hog last night showing off my new Tory Burch purse to my family and talking about how I had a baby shower for one of my friends today. Hahaha! She said: "I thought you looked familiar and then I saw your little purse sitting there on the table and I was like YEP, THAT'S HER!!"  Anyways, it was funny and we all laughed about it. Note to self: Don't talk so loud in public... How embarrassing Charity! *hands over face*
(I guess I'll insert a couple pictures of the new bag here! Hehe The first picture is from when I first opened it--plastic and all! And then here's a quick snap from this morning! I love it so much!)

Tonight, we are going to eat dinner with Tyler's family at Doe's. I've actually been craving a steak lately so I'm pretty excited about having one tonight! After dinner, I plan on coming home, getting back in my comfy PJ's, and watching a movie! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Love always,
Charity

Twenty-Seven

Happy Tuesday lovelies!

Today is a great day! Wanna know why? I officially have my own blog domain. AH! (Quick shout out to my bestie, Nathan Ray. He helped me get everything set up! You da bestttt.) I know this may seem silly to you, but I feel like this blog has sort of become my "baby" the past couple of weeks and I feel like it's finally turning in to something real. Maybe that doesn't make a lick of sense to you, but I'm going with it! Ha! ;)

Yesterday was my birthday and I turned 27 years old. Whaaaat!? I seriously don't know how time keeps moving by so quickly. Either way-- I had a fabulous day from the moment I woke up. I got to work and my awesome co-workers had decorated my desk super cute and I had a couple of gifts sitting on my desk. (Speaking of gifts, my husband got me the most adorable Tory Burch purse... More on that in a later post though!) Anyways-- after work, I had a few friends come over for a fun night of pizza and a movie. I have been wanting to watch "Hitch" again for so long now, and my bestie made that possible last night. I laughed my butt off and enjoyed every minute of it. <3

Here's a couple of pictures even though they aren't the best quality:

(My decorated desk at work)

(The friend crew.. Love these people!)

Right now, I just got out of the shower after an intense workout at the gym. Y'all, I am feeling super motivated today! My macros have been spot on and my workout was AH-mazing. I got those endorphins flowing and I feel like I could take on the world right about now. Ha!

My last thought before I sign off tonight is this: So, my hours at work have changed. I'm going in earlier every morning. (Which means I get off work earlier too.. Heck yes!) The one thing that I have loved so far is getting to see the sun rise every day. I'm totally a "sunset" type of gal, but I'm finding that I'm appreciating the more simple things like this now that I'm getting older. Life is short and time is precious. My heart is so full and I'm so thankful for this life I get to live! With that being said, I hope you all have a fantastic evening!

Love always,
Charity

Weekend Recap

Hello lovelies!

It's Sunday night... and the beginning of another week is upon us. I just got out of the shower after a really good workout at the gym! I'm washing a load of laundry and about to meal prep for the week--but first, I thought I would do a little recap of my weekend! :)

Yesterday morning, I woke up to breakfast in bed. Aw! (Aka: the most tasty apple fritter in the world from Shipley's donuts. For real, if you've never had one... Get one and thank me later!) We ate in bed and watched one of our favorite youtube fitness guys. I feel like that's slowly turning in to a Saturday morning routine. Ha! I finally got moving around 11:30 and met some friends downtown at a little tea shop called Savoy Tea Company. I'm not a huge tea drinker--I definitely prefer coffee but it's still fun to try out new things/places. I had a spiced chai and it was pretty delicious!

After tea, I had a hair appointment that lasted a couple of hours. I switched up my hair a little bit from the usual "baylayage" technique that I get. I did more blonde and I'm loving it so far! Quick side story: While I was getting my hair done, there was the CUTEST (older, in their 50's) couple I have ever seen. They were both super attractive people and you could tell they were well off. However, they were the nicest people I have ever met and oh-so stylish. The lady kept complimenting me and it just made me happy to see that there are genuinely nice people left in the world. <3 Anyways, moving on... Later that night, we went out to dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday early. My birthday is tomorrow but I figured I would go ahead and get everyone together on the weekend so we didn't have to worry about trying to work something out on a week night! We went to one my favorite sushi places, SAKE. It was so tasty and I enjoyed every minute of it. Here's a couple of (snapchat) pictures from the night:

(My OOTN.. excuse the mess in my room! Heh.)
(Empress Roll, Sooner Rolls & Country Roll)

As far as today goes, we went to church and then had lunch at Beef O' Brady's. I'm SO excited for the first week of Summer Shredding to be here. I feel like I'm in a really good state of mind right now and I'm ready to crush itttttt.

If anyone is curious what my starting macros are:
Protein: 110g

(THIS SONG! Omgsh. This was my workout jam tonight. For real, if you don't get anything else from this blog post, listen to this song!)

Mountains or Beaches?

Hello lovelies!

It's finally the weekend... Thank goodness! *hands up in the air like ya just don't care* (Ok, sorry.. moving on! Heh.)

So, this blog post is probably going to be a mixture of randomness and maybe a quick recap of my day! Here we go: Today was good... It had some bumps in it, but overall, it was a pleasant one! The sun was shining and there were a TON of baked goodies in the break room to be purchased. One of the girls I work with is going on a missions trip to Africa so we had a fundraiser for her. I bought a yummy peanut butter pie and the most AH-mazing brownies you will ever taste.

I'm so blessed to work with some of the coolest people in the world. Sometimes my job stresses me out and gets me down... but after days like today-- and the free milkshake day, I'm incredibly thankful for it. When I really think about the past two years, I can honestly say that I have made some of the greatest friends at this job. Not only that-- this department really is one of the most supportive departments in the company. (Towards their peers, that is.)

Anyways, moving on to some randomness-- I was having a conversation with one of my best friends today. We tend to get in to these silly (which turn in to hilarious) debates to pass the time at work. Haha This was today's big question: Mountains or Beaches? I'm trying to decide where to go on summer vacation and I always tend to wind up at the beach. I don't know why but the sand and salty water have a way of calling my name. It was kind of funny, he challenged me find the most amazing beach picture I could find and he would do the same with his mountains and woodsy spots. He was trying to prove that the mountains can be SO much prettier than the beach. *eye roll* I've honestly never given that sort of trip a try but it seems like it could be fun! AH! So many decisions! ;)

Speaking of friends, here's another random thought of the day: It's so funny (sort of) to see how certain situations in life can either bring people closer or pull them apart. I'm seeing a bit of both situations in my life right now.. and it's a weird feeling! But I'm choosing to focus on the good parts and putting my energy there! :)

Right now, I'm sitting in my comfy leopard chair and watching 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days'. I heart love this movie SO much. It makes me laugh so hard... Oh, and it helps that Matthew McConaughey is extremely good looking! Am I right ladies? ;)

Busy weekend ahead.. but I'm excited for it. I hope you all have a fantastic evening and we shall talk again soon! <3

Charity

Let's Talk Health & Fitness

Happy March 1st lovelies!

I can't believe another month has already come and gone. Time is moving way too quickly! #slowdown Anyways, today has been a really good day. The sun has been shining, I got a lot accomplished at work AND-- we got free milkshakes from our bosses! *high five* (Who doesn't love a free milkshake, am I right?)

Today I want to talk about some health and fitness. Yay! Sunday, I am starting a major cut that's going to last the next 17 weeks. (Aka: Summer Shredding) I've never actually done a cut for this long so I am super nervous but oh so excited at the same time! We are planning a beach trip of some sort (either a cruise or our usual Florida vaca) in August or September. I want to be in the best shape I have ever been in by the time we go.

So-- to kind of give some background on my health and fitness journey. I started working out in December of 2015. I didn't change my eating habits much at first but became faithful at hitting my workouts 4 to 5 times a week. In a little over 2 or 3 months, I began to see some results. This led me to want to eat better. I had heard about IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) and I gave it a try. The thing I love about IIFYM, you don't have to change the types of food you eat. You can eat whatever you want as long as it "fits your macros". (Obviously! Ha!) Anyways, I lost right at 30 pounds in a years time and have kept it off since. Although this is a huge accomplishment, I'm ready to push myself and get the body I want.

I watch a few fitness people on youtube. They really help me stay inspired and motivated on those days that I feel like giving up. One of my favorites is Nikki Blackketter. She has been a huge inspiration on my journey and let's just say this: Uhhhh, #bodygoals ;) I would definitely recommend watching her channel if you are a lady and have no clue where to start. She posts a ton of videos of her workouts, meals and her every day life. (She's pretty hilarious too!)

Through Nikki, I found Christian Guzman, her boyfriend at the time. He's also super motivational and has great tips for any dudes (or ladies) out there that may be starting out. However, this leads me to my cut coming up. Christian is doing a contest on his channel where he is giving $2500 to 10 winners and he's calling it "Summer Shredding". (He's also giving a ton of gift cards and products to the top 20) All you have to do is send in a 90 second video of your current physique and then at the end of the 17 weeks, you send in another video showing your transformation. Simple as that! Now, I obviously know there's going to be a TON of people enter and there's a very small chance I will win (ha), BUT- Tyler and I thought it would be fun to give it a try. We have nothing to lose-- either way, we win by having a shredded body at the end of it right!? ;)

So, starting Sunday, I am putting my full focus on the task ahead. It's going to be hard but SO worth it. Every other week or so, I want to post a fully detailed blog post on my progress. (Pictures, What I'm eating, Recipes, etc.) Not only do I think this will help ME stay motivated, but maybe it can help motivate someone else out there as well. (Not that many people know about my blog.. but who knows, maybe I'll put it out there in the universe soon!)

I hope you all are having a fantastic day! Tomorrow is Thursday which means the weekend is approaching very, very soon! ;)

Love always,
Charity
