Weight-Loss Wednesday [Week 2]: How To Stay Motivated

Hello lovelies!

It's time for another Weight-Loss Wednesday post and today I'm going to talk about staying motivated. We've ALL had days where we feel super unmotivated whether it comes to our health and fitness or just life in general. There are times where you may just want to stay in your own little shell and not socialize with anyone in the world. Well, I'm here to tell you... That is OKAY. However, don't stay there.

This past weekend, I literally spent HOURS sitting in my favorite chair, watching Gilmore Girls. (It's a guilty pleasure! Ha!) Anyways, as much as I feel like sometimes you need to do that for yourself, I also find that I begin I feel very unmotivated.

Like I said in one of my last posts, Tyler started another cut this week so I am following his lead and really trying to stay on track with my macros and exercise. So far this week, I have been spot on with my macros and I'm really proud of myself. I wanted to give a couple of tips on some things that may help to keep you motivated... whether you're just beginning your fitness journey or if you just need that extra push.
  1. Buy new workout shoes or a new workout outfit: Now, I know some people may find this to be kind of silly but it really works! Ha! Anytime I go and purchase a new pair of tennis shoes or a couple cute new workout tops, I always feel motivated to head to the gym. I don't know what it is... but something about feeling "cute" when I go workout tends to help me!
  2. Take a pre-workout: This is HUGE! I have never been one to take a pre-workout before heading to the gym but oh. em. gee. I can't explain how much of a difference it makes. I found I was super hyped to be at the gym and not feeling super "sluggish" like usual.
  3. Find a friend or fitness community to join: It's been so inspiring getting to be in a private Facebook group with a bunch of girls from all around the world...working towards the same common goal. Also, I have some really great, supportive friends that always give me words of encouragement when I need them.
  4. Take it one day at a time: I know this sounds super cliche... but it's true! I tend to not focus on the bigger picture and try to set small victories at a time.
  5. Take progress pictures: This tip is SO important! I know some people tend to focus on the number that shows up on the scale... but STOP. Seriously, take progress pictures and go by them instead. Muscle weighs more than fat so the scale may not always go down as fast as you think. However, pictures won't lie. :)
If you have any other motivational tips, please leave a comment below! I'm always looking for ways to stay on track. I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Love always,
Charity
