Christmas Cabin With The Family

Good morning lovelies!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with your friends and family... I know I sure did! Like I told you all in a previous blog post, my parents rented a cabin for our family to spend Christmas at. It was SO pretty! It was decked out in Christmas decorations, had a (small but beautiful) Christmas tree and a warm fire place to sit by at night time. <3

If I'm honest, I was planning on taking a ton of pictures while we were there so I could put up a huge Christmas cabin recap, buuuuut once we got there, I found myself just wanting to "live in the moment" and enjoy the time with my family. However, I did take a few pictures here and there so I thought I would go ahead and share them with you all. :)

On Friday night when we arrived, we got settled in and ate some yummy Frito Chili pies that my mom had made for dinner. We spent the rest of the evening visiting by the fire and watching Hallmark movies!
The cabin was adorable...
Saturday morning, Tyler and I woke up pretty early and started a fire. We sat around until the rest of the gang woke up and we all got ready to head in to Springfield to eat at Lambert's Cafe! Yum!
After lunch, we did a little bit of shopping before heading to the IMAX to watch Star Wars! The boys were cracking me up... They were so over shopping!
Until they went to the Nike store and both left with a new pair of tennis-shoes... *eye roll*
After Star Wars, us girls headed to a few more shops while the guys went to the gym for a quick workout.
Christmas Eve morning, mom and I cooked up some breakfast for the crew that consisted of: Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, grits and oatmeal. It was pretty delish!
A few hours later, we all gathered around the fire (and coffee table) and played a few games of UNO and the saran wrap game! (If you don't know what the saran wrap game is, it's where you wrap a ton of different prizes up and you take turns having to try and unwrap it (while wearing mittens) before the person next to you gets a double on the dices.) It was an absolute BLAST and it's definitely going to become a tradition for our family. <3
That evening we made Christmas Eve dinner, read the Christmas story and opened gifts. We've always done Christmas on Christmas Eve in my family so the tradition has kind of stuck. There were so many gifts!
On Christmas morning, Brittney and Logan left to go back home. Tyler, mom, dad and I headed to a fancy Christmas brunch at Top of the Rock.
Reason 647345836458 I love hats... I can rock my natural hair! Ha!
After brunch, we walked around at the Top of the Rock and looked at the beautiful views. It's seriously one of my favorite spots...

We ended up going back to the cabin and relaxing the rest of the evening. I hope you all have a great rest of the week! :)

Love always,

"Don't cry over the past, it's gone. Don't stress about the future, it hasn't arrived. Live in the present and make it beautiful."
